Someone asked the famous hedge fund investor, Ray Dalio, “What is a hedge fund?” He sarcastically replied, “I also don’t know what hedge fund means!” He further explained that “It is a structure within which an investor can do anything. It allows you to invest without any restrictions. The investor has the freedom to invest anywhere. They can go long as well as short. There is no bad or good times or cycles as such.”
